seriouly u guys are lucky or soemthing? ive tried DG grifs and dunes girffs i ahent even got so much as a purple any suggestions?
Yeah drops are horrible, I get about a rare item per 3 or 4 runs...sometimes nothing. Purple items are common in this farming area. Your best possible outcome is to sell the Bleached Shells.

Rare drops and griffon farm shouldn't be in the same scentence

For me, hydra are more profitable. Sometimes I get 3 keys per run. Don't use them for chests, sell them to merch or other players.

Executioners strike

Healing 8
Axe 9

whatever is left throw on strenth.

You start out in DESTINY'S GORGE and you leave out the East exit, to THE SCAR. Here you will take an immidiate left and head up the hill to a whole heard off griffins, spawns are different, sometimes you end up with them all bunched here, sometimes you end up with them a little spread out. It is, however, chuck full of griffins here with little other resistance, some Carrion of course... but who cares.

here is a screen that should take care of everything I would make a new well laid out thread for this, but it is not neccesary.

Thanks again for the overwhelming support here, these guys may not drop like the old griffins, but its still alot of fun and some easy money.

Have fun and always feel free to positively and constructively post and ask questions at will.
There are also a huge pile of Griffons up on the cliffs in the background of your screenie. The real challenge is getting to them alive...Jade Scarabs, Sand Giants, Dune Burrowers and Losaru abound on that path.

I would like to say thankyou for this awesome build. I had never farmed griffons before and it took my very lil time to be able to use this build effectively. Keep up the good work.

All my golden items are from Wurms. Griffons drops nothing worth of value. Just white items, blue and some purples...When I meant that purple items are more common I was referring to Elonian treasures. So I am sorry for any misunderstading.

well i tryed out your axe build for griffons at DG, and it was pretty fun, but i wasnt satisfied with drops. I tyed it on the begining minotaurs of elona and added doyak instead of sprint, and took a few axe points and put into strength for signet. It works pretty nicely and i got a decent shield my first run, along with a bunch of minotaur horns. just for fun.

Griffins r not just wat they used to be now.

I did about 15 runs east of DG, and so far I only made about 10K, not good enough.

i just tryed some diffrent one that i made up my own:
atributes:
tactics 12 (in points then add some runes)
the rest into sword, strenght and CURSES make sword about 9 or 10 depending on your weapon.
weapons: a zealous sword would be nice and a shield with -2 damage

1. power attack
2. ripposte
3. deadly ripposte
4. gladiators defence {elite}
5. dolyak signet
6. MARK OF PAIN !
7. watch yourself (not neccesary against little groups or you could take bonetti's for energy)
8. healing sig

you just start casting mark of pain on your target and then run into them and start slashing away, use the rest of the skills and you'll be fine against some groups, it goes fast.

totally awesome build, but on the second farming area u can actually sometimes get 1 wurm in, just go farther south-east till u find the 2 large dirt mountains mounds whatever u want to call them. just go behind them and u can get 1 wurm killed.
